Our weekends go by way too fast! I don't feel like we got any break at all. Oh well!
Friday Jerime & I went and shot some family pictures of the Beihl family. Check out a few of our fave shots at our 710 Photography Blog.
Saturday we had another garage sale out at Grandma Cummins' house, and it was well worth it! Last time the rain cut our customers down, so we decided to have another one. We still had enough stuff to double our money! There is still a ton left so we boxed it up and will be ready for another one some other time.
Sunday was spent taking Ellie to the movies and combing through our shots from Friday. Ellie wanted to see Igor and so we did. It was a cute movie, and she loved it.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Wild Child!!!
I took Ellie out to do some "bad lighting" pictures, just to experiment on making the pictures better using off-camera flashes. Sadly, she was tired, and very un-cooperative. I got a few good pictures out of her, but nothing too wonderful. Click Here to View our 710 Photography Blog where I posted a couple of Ellie's pictures.
Hope everyone is having a good week!!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

So a lot has happened since my last post. We've been super busy and I just haven't had a chance to keep everyone updated. I'll try to give everyone the low-down on our crazy lives.
Jerime is enjoying school (as much as it can be enjoyed). He's been very busy writing English papers, as I have been just as busy proof-reading them. There are a few classes that he doesn't care for, but they will be over at mid-term, so that's good.
Early in the week we had some minor car problems. Jerime left class on Tuesday and smelled gas while driving. When he got to our house there was gas pouring out under his truck. Needless to say, it was not drivable. Thankfully, Mom & Dad let me borrow their car, and Jerime took mine. We finally got his truck back today. The gas line had a huge hole in it! Of course, since Jerime's truck is a pain-in-the-butt, it was a major job to just replace the little $4 part that was broken. If it wasn't for Dad, we would never be able to afford the repairs on that truck due to it's labor intensive repairs. THANKS DAD!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!
Finally, last Thursday, Ellie started PRESCHOOL!!!! She's such a big girl! The teacher thinks she is VERY intelligent - which we already knew. Ellie is super excited to be in preschool and looks forward to going every Tuesday & Thursday. I just love the little projects she brings home everyday! Below are a couple of her pictures from the first day of school. It was a dreary, rainy day so the pictures aren't too great.
Hope everyone is having a good week!

I'm always second choice!
So, yesterday I got a phone call from someone letting me know that I was second pick, because first pick wasn't quite what they thought she would be - surprisingly, not the first time I've heard this. The travel agency called me back and offered the job to me that I interviewed for a few weeks ago! Just like when I got the call from Pam last year - after the nice rejection letter - that I was second pick, but they would love to have me for the job. Sure, it's not flattering knowing you were not first choice, but in the end, who has the job? ME! Now I know that when I go into job interviews I need to state: "I know you will probably pick someone before me, but trust me, it won't work out! You'll end up calling me back in a few weeks offering me the job, so save you and me both the hassle, hire me now!" Regardless of all the second pick stupidity, I start my travel agent job Tuesday. I'm still working at the court, this just gives me another job on top of that. A girl's gotta stay busy!
On another topic, Jerime started school on Monday. He's still pretty excited about it, but I think he feels old being there with a bunch of 18 yr olds. He said that in his first class everyone had their cell phones out texting - which made him feel old because when he started college before, people didn't even carry around cell phones! I tried to make him feel better when I told him that a guy that works in my building is taking a spanish class and one of the girls in his class was born the year he graduated high school! I'm sure that really makes ya feel old!! But, I am so proud of Jerime going back to college!!! I'm sure he'll do great in it, he seems so determined. I tried to get his picture of his "first day of school," but he wouldn't let me. Ellie then proceeded to tell me that I needed to get a picture of Greg, since it was his first day of school too. Here it is!

Little update

Since I haven't posted in a few days - and I hated to impose on Amy's blog post - I'm writing a little snippet of our lives.
Wednesday I got that mole taken off my eyebrow. I've got a bit of a black eye because of it, but it's not too bad. Jerime told me to tell everyone that asked about it that "I learned to not back-talk him." He's so tough talking, isn't he?
The rest of the week I've been busy shipping all my eBay goodies and getting the Mason Family images ready to put online. They went on today, and it's a huge weight off my shoulders being done with all that so far. I really hope they like them!!!
Today we went to Joplin and I bought more eBay goodies. Ellie got a new backpack and some shoes for school. She also decided to model her backpack for everyone to see, so below are her pictures.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Jerime & Amy have to start back up at school on Monday. I think Jerime is more excited than Amy - only because he hasn't been in school in forever, I think Amy's ready to be done.

It's not a surpise anymore!!

Well, Friday night we (Amy, Jake, Jerime, Ellie & I) went out to dinner like we usually do - but to Amy's surprise, we had a few more at our table!! Debbie & Lora had planned a surprise 30th birthday party for her at Josie's. I think she really was pretty surprised, and I'm so glad Ellie didn't spill the beans. I kinda had to lie to Ellie that we were just going out to dinner with Amy & Jake, it wasn't Amy's birthday. I know if I hadn't she would have told Amy about it the second she got in the car.
Needless to say, the food was excellent, and I'm so glad we got to go! I've attached a few pictures of the night. I guess I need to pack a flash with me when I go - it was pretty dark in there so my pictures aren't that great. Hope everyone who came had a great time too!!

Crazy weekend!
So we have been super busy this weekend! Sunday afternoon we had the Mason family come by and get some portraits done of their four kids. Let me tell you, we need a bigger space to shoot! Our Living Room/Dining Room set-up we have going is by no means big enough for that size group. But, being the expert photographers we are, we managed :) Click here to view the 7.10 Photography Blog to see the photos from our shoot. There's only five on there right now, we are busy processing the rest.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Big Money! Big Money!
Today I was suppose to have this mole removed from my eyebrow by this plastic surgeon in Joplin. So, Mom & I went down there this morning for my appointment. Apparently this was only a consultation visit, and I have to go back next Wednesday to get it actually removed. Since we were down there we went ahead and stopped by NBC (Name Brand Clothing). Boy oh boy, did I have fun! :)
So, pretty much everyone knows about me and my many purchases I turn around and sell on eBay. Well today was one of those days where I think I hit the jackpot. I told mom, it's like going to the casino and hitting the "double or nothing" button knowing good and well that you are definitely going to double your money. Today's purchases were a bunch of Juicy Couture Charms, Charm Bracelets, and Earrings. There's also an umbrella and diary, but I haven't listed them yet. Apparently they are going to be getting new Juicy stuff every Wednesday for the next few weeks. Hopefully this turns out to be my "ugly black coat" of this year :) If you don't know about my "ugly black coats," just ask! Needless to say, I'm tickled pink about our little trip. Everyone, feel free to check out my listings and keep track of my new little 'niche' of Juicy Couture items! Click Here to View My Items!
So, since I spent all afternoon taking photos of eBay stuff, I had no time to get some for today's blog. I'm sure you'll all live until next time though. :)
Also, I want to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Grandma & Grandpa Miller. Congrats on 57 happy years together :) Hope you two had a great day today!

Brownie Time!!

I got an e-mail yesterday from a prospective customer (photography stuff) and she sounded very interested. I came across her because she is in the La Leche group around here. Funny, we got our business wrapped up in breastfeeding mommies, but I never breastfed Ellie. Oh well, obviously everyone in that group has kids, so we are just dying to take pictures of them! Currently we have a free session fee up for bid at their online silent auction. Anyway, she called today and decided she wants photos this Sunday in studio of her FOUR children! I am anxious to see how well we do with that many kids! I'll be sure and post some highlights of the session :)
Since we have this session coming up, Jerime insisted we finally get rid of the many boxes of garage sale stuff prior to our new clients arrival. So Ellie and I spent all afternoon hauling boxes out to Grandma Cummins' house in preparation for our upcoming garage sale (we've been saying that all summer!). This time I really mean it!
Tonight, Ellie and Jerime decided to make brownies. Ellie just loves to help people bake stuff, so she of course had a blast. We had to remind her a couple times that it wasn't a good idea to lick the batter off the spatula while you were still stirring it up. Here's a few pictures of her fun.

Of course, after the brownies were in the pan we let her lick some of the mix off the spatula. By the end she was frantically trying to get it all off. She wouldn't dare let a bit of chocolate go to waste!

After all the brownie fun, I got a phone call from the Premier Jewelry lady, Stephanie. I must say, it sounds very intriguing to become a jeweler! I just have to talk to my loving husband a little more about getting into it. She did tell me that I can't eBay the jewelry though; darn! :)
